Love and Reconciliation Rituals: Common Questions

Published by Witch Doctor Shakir

Love and reconciliation rituals are traditional practices for people who hope for love or want to mend a relationship. They express your hopes and ask for blessing. They cannot decide what another person feels or does. Below are plain answers to questions people often ask before requesting one.

The biggest question, whether a ritual can bring someone back, has its own article: why no ritual can guarantee another person's feelings or decisions.

What is a reconciliation ritual?

A reconciliation ritual is a traditional ritual focused on peace and renewed communication after a quarrel or a separation. It is usually asked for by someone who hopes to mend a particular relationship.

The ritual gives that hope a set time and place, carried out with care. It is a statement of your intention, not a decision on behalf of the other person.

In many traditions, making peace also involves the wider family or community, for example elders helping two sides to talk. A ritual can sit alongside that kind of practical peacemaking.

How is it different from a love spell or a lost lover ritual?

A love spell is usually about hope for love in general, or a blessing on a relationship you already have. A reconciliation ritual is about a particular relationship that has become strained or broken, and the wish for peace.

A lost lover ritual is close to reconciliation, but focused on a partner who has left. If the quarrel is within a family rather than between partners, family harmony rituals may fit better. If you are not sure, describe your situation and Shakir will explain the options. Each service page also says what the ritual involves and what it cannot do.

What will I need to tell Shakir?

Your first name, the country you live in, and a short note about the relationship and what you are hoping for. It can help to say how long you were together, when things went wrong, and if you are still in touch with each other. Share only what you are comfortable sharing. You can write in your own language, since Shakir replies in many languages, usually within 30 minutes.

After a short consultation, Shakir explains the ritual, the materials and any precautions, the timing and the price. The price is all-inclusive. The ritual can be done remotely or in person, depending on what suits you.

Is it all right to ask for a ritual privately?

Many people ask for a ritual about their own hopes without telling anyone else. That is your choice to make. What you share is used to arrange your service, as the privacy policy explains.

What we will not take on is a request meant to control, harm or frighten another person. And if your relationship involves fear, threats or violence, please put your safety first and contact local support services or the police.

What can I do while I wait?

Timing depends on you and on the ritual, and is agreed at the start. No one can promise when, or whether, the other person will respond. In the meantime, look after yourself: rest, eat well, and spend time with people who support you. Try not to make big decisions about money, work or where you live while feelings are running high.

If you want to reach out to the other person, do it calmly and respectfully, and accept their answer. If they have asked for no contact, respect that. Pressure tends to push people further away.

When is a ritual not the right step?

A ritual is not the answer when someone is in danger. Safety comes first. It is also worth thinking twice when the other person has clearly said the relationship is over and asked to be left alone.

If you and your partner both want to try again, couples counselling or mediation can help you talk things through, and some people choose a ritual alongside that. If you feel low for a long time, or find you cannot sleep, eat or work because of what happened, please speak to a doctor or a local support line.
