What the ritual involves
The ritual focuses on peace, forgiveness and your wish to talk openly again. In many traditions, water, candles, herbs and spoken words are used to ask for calm between people. Shakir explains what is used, and each step, before anything starts.
Shakir first asks what caused the distance between you and what peace would look like for you. The ritual is shaped around your side of things, because that is the part you can bring to it.
You do not need to live nearby. The ritual can be done remotely from anywhere, or in person, and Shakir can travel to you depending on your situation. How long it takes is agreed with you at the start.
What this service can and cannot do
It is meant for
- Asking for peace after a fight or a long silence.
- Preparing yourself to reach out, say sorry or listen.
- Marking a fresh start when you both want to try again.
It cannot
- Promise that the other person will forgive you or agree to make up.
- Replace the talking and listening that making peace usually needs.
- Fix a relationship with abuse or threats. If you are not safe, please contact local support services or the police.

Common questions
Will the other person agree to make up after the ritual?
We cannot say that they will. Making up needs both people to choose it. The ritual is about your intention for peace, not about deciding for someone else.
Can I ask for this while we are still living together?
Yes. A reconciliation ritual can be asked for while you are still together but not getting along, or after you have moved apart.
Do I need to tell my partner I have asked for a ritual?
That is up to you. What you tell us stays private. See the privacy policy for how your information is handled.
Is this the right ritual if my partner has already left?
